Negative Reviews

If someone looks on your business profile and all the potential customers see are 5-star reviews, consumers lose trust in your business. Consumers should be cautious anytime especially when something looks too real to be true and gets all five-star reviews. Potential customers think three- and four-star ratings are more genuine than all five-star reviews.

Bad reviews provide honest feedback which can be used for product or services improvements. It is significant to monitor comments and respond to as many negative reviews as you can. Consumers understand that a product is not all things to all people. Potential customers appreciate negative reviews as an integral process in their decision-making process.” According to a Northwestern University’s Spiegel Research Center report, more than 80 percent of consumers actually look for a negative review in their research. Furthermore, consumers are most attracted to products with an average rating of between 4.2 and 4.5. Moreover, request that your customers leave you a four-star rating instead. Therefore, your business could be better off not having all 5-star reviews because all 5-star reviews are not genuine.
