How many of you receive emails from SEO companies claiming that they can get your company first page results? No company can guarantee top placement. You need to worry about companies that promise top positions in Google’s organic or free natural listings.  In fact,  Google warns that you should be wary of companies that will guarantee the top position in their paid listings.

Black hat SEO is a set of unethical methods to increase traffic. Black hat SEO marketers are determined to achieve results as fast as possible no matter what your cost. They focus on generating the most amount of money as possible from you before the search engines ban your web site. When search engines detect a black hat technique, the site will often be removed from the search engine’s index. • Cloaking is a technique of showing different content than what a user sees to a search engine.  The purpose is to receive more favorable search hits.
• Hidden link -links on a page that are invisible to a user and visible to a search engine
• Useless commenting on blogs, just to include a URL
• Link farm – a spam technique which search marketers set up dozens or hundreds of sites that can be crawled by search engines, just so they can put in thousands of links to sites that they want to boost in search rankings.
